253 Portobello Road sits at the junction between Portobello Road and Lancaster Road, making it one of the most prominent sites in the vicinity. Other retailers and restaurants located nearby include Jovonna London, Ukai Sushi and The Electric, so the branding for this new opportunity needed to be sympathetic to these operators and their patrons.

We created a bespoke typeface that referenced the curved letters in the word ‘Portobello’, but also the architecture of some of the buildings in the estate.
